Which file types are accepted?

The following file types are accepted in Customer Service, including the portal, chat widget, email and agent replies:

Photos taken on an iPhone (HEIC), screen recordings (MOV) and voice memos (M4A) can be uploaded directly.

Office, OpenDocument, audio and EML files do not have an inbox preview. They appear with a file-type icon and must be downloaded to open.

For your security, Kiryon checks the contents as well as the extension. Files with a misleading extension are rejected.

The following are not accepted for security reasons: macro-enabled Office files (DOCM, XLSM, PPTM and DOCX/XLSX/PPTX containing macros), legacy Office formats (DOC, XLS, PPT), SVG, HTML, JavaScript, executable files (EXE, MSI, BAT, APK and similar) and RAR archives. Save legacy documents as DOCX/XLSX/PPTX or PDF before sending them.
